The Check for Update settings control how Meeting Schedule Assistant checks for new versions of the software and whether it should also look for updated Meeting Workbook schedule data.

How to Access

You can access this feature in two ways:

  • Options → Settings
  • Toolbar → Settings

After opening the Settings window, select the Check for Update tab.

Using the Check for Update Settings

Use this page to configure how often the application checks for program updates, whether to check for new schedule data, and whether anonymous workbook request statistics may be submitted. All settings on this page are saved with your application preferences.

💡 Tip: You can also run Check for Update manually at any time from the Help menu.

Automatic Update Options

Check automatically when application starts

When enabled, a dropdown list becomes available where you can choose how often the software should check for updates:

  • Every Day
  • Every Week
  • Ask before checking, once a week
    The software will prompt you before performing the check.

Do not check for updates

Select this option if you prefer not to perform automatic update checks.

When selected:

  • No automatic update checks will occur.
  • The Check for Latest Schedule Information option (below) is disabled.

Default setting: Do not check for updates.

Check for Latest Schedule Information

This option allows the software to periodically check whether newer Meeting Workbook schedule data is available.

It becomes enabled only when:

  • Check automatically when application starts is selected, or
  • Ask before checking, once a week is selected.

If Do not check for updates is chosen, this option is disabled.

Default setting: Unchecked.

Submit Workbook Request Statistics

This setting controls whether anonymous usage data is submitted when you request Meeting Workbook data.

The Submit Workbook Request Statistics checkbox is enabled only when Check for Latest Schedule Information is turned on.

Default setting: Unchecked.

If this option remains unchecked, a confirmation popup appears each time you request workbook data, asking whether you want to submit anonymous statistics.

The popup includes:

  • Find out more — Opens additional information about what data is collected.
  • Stop displaying this message — Prevents the prompt from appearing again.

What Information Is Submitted?

If you choose to submit workbook request statistics, the following anonymous information is sent:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Foreign‑Language Group mode setting
  • Application language
  • Workbook language
  • Application version

No personal or identifiable information is ever included.
