I am pleased to announce that there is a new version of Meeting Schedule Assistant now available.
What’s New
Several new features have been added, and some bugs have been fixed.
Jump To
A new Jump To feature has been added to the Speaker window. This allows you to quickly locate talks in the list. As you type in the edit box, the list automatically highlights the first matching talk. Use the spinner control to navigate to the next or previous match in the list.
Finding Entries
We continue to migrate features from the Public Talks application, enhancing them whenever possible. This time, we focused on bringing over some of the search functionality. It has been added to the Congregation Manager, enabling users to locate relevant information by text or date for quicker and more efficient access. We chose to rewrite the search engine to make it more reliable.
Speaker Memo Information
You can now see each speakers memo information directly on the Congregation Manager window. This information is read-only but will be included in Find / Find Next search operations.
Bugs Fixed
A number of bugs has been identified and resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Availability
When adding new publishers or speakers, the lists of dates for their availability now default to checked, indicating that they are available.
Reset
The Clear All Dates button in the Speaker window has been renamed to Reset. Clicking it now checks all dates, indicating full availability.
To clarify, dates when a speaker or publisher is unavailable are unchecked. Therefore, please verify both of your databases if necessary.
Time Changes Manager
An issue was identified with the functionality of the Time Changes Manager. The following properties were not being updated correctly:
- Meeting time
- Date valid from
It is currently functioning correctly; however, it may be prudent to double-check now that we are in the new year.
