VisitsRota

VisitsRota is designed to help create simple, practical schedules for congregation use.
It offers two modes:

  • Elderly & Infirm
  • Shepherding

Elderly & Infirm Visit Mode

This mode focuses on publishers selected by the Body of Elders to receive weekly visits from volunteer congregation members.

VisitsRota generates a clear, easy‑to‑use schedule that helps keep accurate records of these visits and ensures that all assigned individuals receive appropriate attention.

Shepherd Visit Mode

Congregations are organised into Field Service Groups, and each overseer is responsible for shepherding the families and individuals in his group.

VisitsRota can produce a tailored report for each overseer, listing the families or individuals he needs to visit. This makes it easier to plan and track shepherding activity.

VisitsRota can be used at the congregation level, supporting multiple Field Service Groups.

However, in recent years overseers have increasingly been encouraged to manage the spiritual care of their own group directly. As a result, many overseers simply install VisitsRota for their personal use.

Summary

VisitsRota is intentionally designed as a simple, focused tool.
While the potential variables for a program of this type could be extensive, the goal is to provide a practical, easy‑to‑use resource that supports the core needs of congregation shepherding and care.

The software will continue to receive attention and may gain additional features over time. Future development depends on user interest, available time, and the feedback received.

VisitsRota is not intended for use in organising ministry Return Visits.
