I am pleased to announce that there is a new version of Meeting Schedule Assistant now available.
Keeping the Software Up to Date
I notice that some are still using older versions of the software. For example, some are using the 21.x.x versions. These users are missing out on bug fixes and new features.
Maybe these users are not signed up to the Newsletter, or English is not their first language, but you can always view the newsletters online and use Google Translate or similar.
So, if you know of users of the software, can you please reach out to them to see if they are keeping up to date? The best thing is to configure the Check For Update settings to keep up to date automatically.
Finally, I notice that less than 50% of subscribed users actually open the newsletter. Maybe these users can update their subscription settings as needed.
Edit Duty Assignments
Some users of Meeting Schedule Assistant like to combine the Assignments Editor and Meeting Editor schedules together. This can be done by customizing your schedule template to include the relevant Duty Assignment History.
Here are some reasons why you might want to combine the schedules:
- Including assignments like the Microphone / Platform Handlers.
- Including assignments like Bible Reading Assistants.
I am sure you can think of other situations where combining the schedules together could be useful.
However, if you were using the Meeting Editor, and needed to make some minor adjustments to the Duty information, you had to close down the Meeting Editor to make the changes. This was frustrating.
Now it is much easier to make any necessary changes! Use the new Edit Duty Assignments tool from inside the Meeting Editor! It can be used from two places:
- Meeting Editor — Click Duty Assignments on the Edit menu.
- Weekend Meeting Editor — Click Duty Assignments on the new Edit menu.
Read the Edit Duty Assignments help topic to find out more about this new tool.
Feedback Welcome
It would be great to get some feedback since this is a new feature. Use the contact form to get in touch if you have any ideas for improvements.
