Meeting Schedule Assistant 22.1.1 is now available

Meeting Schedule Assistant Logo

I am pleased to announce that there is a new version of Meeting Schedule Assistant now available.

What’s New

Some improvements have been made to the Midweek Editor. A big thank you to everyone who has assisted with beta-testing!

Auto Assign

The Auto Assign feature has been improved in the Midweek Editor. Now, it will take into account any existing names for the assignments that are not auto assigned (to avoid conflicts).

Weekend Worksheet

The Midweek Editor now has a new Weekend Meeting Worksheet template. The idea of a Weekend Meeting Worksheet is not new. You may recall that three versions of it were made available on the website as custom templates:

The above templates will be discontinued in the coming weeks since the new official template is very similar. Here is a sample preview:

Public Speaker Media

As you will see from the Revision History, the hotkey CTRL + SHIFT + I that was introduced in version 22.0.3 for the Weekend Meeting window to insert an image into the Speaker Notes has been removed. This is because there is a new way to easily include multiple images on the worksheet – Drag and Drop.

A new text box has been added to the Weekend Meeting window for this purpose:

All you need to do is drag and drop the images onto the window from File Explorer.

It will create a snippet of HTML for you which is designed to display the media as a series of small thumbnails in a grid.

HTML Syntax

If you are comfortable with editing HTML code then you can customize the HTML as you see fit. But don’t worry if this all sounds too complicated because you don’t need to know HTML and use it as-is.

Translations

Most translations of the new template are complete. However …

I have done the following using Google Translate:

  • Armenian
  • Aukan
  • Cebuano
  • Sesotho (South Africa) (09/06/2022)
  • Tsonga
  • Twi
  • Zulu

The following are still in English:

  • Gun
  • Setswana

The following still need to be translated by the team, as their circumstances permit:

  • Dutch
  • Polish
  • Russian
  • Swedish (08/06/2022)

Zoom Attendant

I am using a customized version of this template with includes the Zoom Attendant assignment. It does this by accessing the Duty Assignment History database. Feel free to add a comment below if you are interested in knowing how to do this type of modification to the template.

I meant to also say that you can now maximize the Weekend Meeting window! In fact, it is best if you do this because it will give you extra space for speaker notes / media details.

Sesotho (South Africa) translations have now been reviewed and are OK.
