Meeting Schedule Assistant Logo

I am pleased to announce that there is a new version of Meeting Schedule Assistant now available.

What’s New

This version includes updated Punjabi song titles (#41, #45, #82, #138) and several internal library updates. Full details can be found in the Revision History help topic.

Read on to find out more about some additional improvements that have been made.

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge has been added to the official list of supported External Browsers in the Midweek Editor:

Preview in Browser — Microsoft Edge
Preview in Browser — Microsoft Edge

As previously mentioned, clean installations of Windows 11 do not include Internet Explorer, so it seemed appropriate to find out how to add Microsoft Edge to the list. The other types of documented browsers continue to be supported (Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera).

Downloaded Help Documentation — Bug Fix

Some users were pressing F1 to display help and continued to get a Failed to launch help error message. In some instances Meeting Schedule Assistant gets out of sync with downloaded help.

Imagine this scenario:

  • You install Meeting Schedule Assistant on a new PC and you don’t not opt to download the help during the installation.
  • Then, you restore a backup where it was configured to display downloaded help.
  • Now Meeting Schedule Assistant has a conflict.

New features have been added to the software to assist in resolving this issue. Now, when you start the software, it checks to see if you want to use downloaded help in the application settings and verifies that the help file is installed. The following message is now displayed if the help file is missing:

Prompt to install offline help documentation

If you choose Yes, it will follow the normal procedure and download / install the latest help documentation. If you choose No, you will see the following reminder:

Monthly Data Volunteers

Firstly, I want to thank all the volunteers who have provided monthly workbook data for the users of the software. I also want to thank all the translators for their hard work too.

Due to a change in circumstances our Hungarian volunteer has had to step down from providing monthly data. Looking at the Download Statistics Database I can see that there have been several users of the Hungarian data. If you are one of those users, and your circumstances permit, or you know of someone who has the time to commit and is in good standing (brother or sister) then please send me an email. Find out about what is involved with volunteering here.
