What’s New

This latest version includes some updated Public Talk themes in English and Song Titles in Tamil. Also, some of the underlying support files have been updated (these are used by the Calendar Sync tools etc.).

Other improvements have also been made to the software as summarised below.

Restore Settings Window

A new Open file location button has been added to the Restore Settings window:

If you select a backup in the list (single click), and then click the Open file location button, it will display the File Explorer window with that file automatically selected. You can see an example in the updated help topic.

Hotkeys

Both editors support the hotkey ALT + SHIFT + W. Until now, this hotkey displayed the User Application Data folder in the File Explorer window. The active schedule template that you are using in the editor is now automatically selected in the File Explorer window.

I also realised that these hotkeys were not clearly documented. They are now detailed here:

• Assignments Editor hotkeys
• Midweek Editor hotkeys

My intention is to update those sections of the help with any other undocumentated hotkeys in the coming weeks.

Special Events

Up until now, the software automatically deleted any outdated special events when starting the software. It became apparent that this was causing issues with the Midweek Editor and it was not showing those previous weeks correctly on the schedule. To get around this issue the decision was made to retain the last 90 days of special event information. Therefore, it will be best if you let the software automatically remove these events over the course of time. Otherwise, if you manually delete the events from the database, your schedules will look incomplete again.

Compact Workbook Schedule

You may be aware of the Workbook S-140 Compact Schedule template that has been available here on the website. This template has been updated to support the Discussion with Video assignments and has had some other minor improvements. Feel free to try out this updated template. Full details are provided below and you will find a link to a dedicated support forum discussion for any issues you may have.
