I am pleased to announce that there is a new version of Meeting Schedule Assistant now available.
Congregation Bible Study (Group Circuit Visit)
A new setting has been added to the Midweek Editor to cater for when the Circuit Overseer visits a Foreign Language Group.
Things can be slightly different when a Circuit Overseer visits the Foreign Language Group. They may have a Public Talk and a Service Talk during the Weekend Meeting.
Note
To clarify, this applies when the Circuit Overseer visits the Group and not the Congregation.
The updated MWB data file format is not binary compatible with older versions of Meeting Schedule Assistant. So old versions of the software will not be able to open MWB data files saved with this version of the software.
Other Improvements
- The Midweek Editor was still warning about unsaved changes, even though you had saved the file. This issue has now been resolved.
- Public Talk Titles have been updated for English, Italian, Portuguese Brazil and Romanian.
- Several song titles have been updated for Sing Out Joyfully to Jehovah (#29, #49, #81) in Tamil.
Telegram
Please note that it is now also possible to have discussions in our Public Talk Software Telegram channel. Up until now I have now been able to do read-only announcements.
Circuit Assemblies via Videoconferencing
The Midweek Editor is currently not really designed to take into account Special Events via Videoconferencing. This is because the congregation still meets together to have an abbreviated discussion of the Watchtower and then everyone is invited to watch the assembly via JW Stream.
It is possible to make some temporary changes to your script so that you can still display a nice presentation of the event on your schedule:
As mentioned, several changes need to be made to your script to be able to present the special event like this. Also, it still creates a Midweek Meeting calendar event (which you will have to delete manually) in your calendar application.
It is my intention to try and add some extra functionality to better support special events via videoconferencing since it would seem that we will are still going to continue using Skype or Zoom for several months to come.
